Welcome to Weingut Günter Gindorf – a family-run winery in Schweich, just 12 km from Trier, at the gateway to the Middle Mosel. We craft authentic Mosel wines that unite tradition, craftsmanship, and emotion.
Our Philosophy
Wine is more than a drink – it’s an experience. We work by hand in our steep slate vineyards, guided by patience, respect for nature, and a deep connection to our region.
Our motto “Lagenliebe” means love for our vineyard sites – and that’s exactly what you can taste in every glass: origin, time, and true dedication.
Our Vineyards
Our vineyards are located around Schweich and Mehring, facing the Mosel River and shaped by unique slate soils. Each site has its own personality and story:
- Annaberg – red slate, expressive Rieslings & Pinot Noir
- Burgmauer – cool climate, elegant Kabinett style
- Herrenberg – old vines on grey slate
- Goldkupp – sunny slope with creamy Weißburgunder
- Zellerberg – steep Riesling vineyard for late harvest wines

Sustainability & Innovation
We cultivate our vineyards with manual work, natural cover crops, and minimal spraying.
With our PiWi project (fungus-resistant grape varieties such as Cabernet Blanc, Sauvignac, and Souvignier Gris),
we’re creating a more sustainable and future-oriented Mosel wine culture.
